Cassper Nyovest reflects on his 2014 hit single titled ‘I hope you bought it’

2014 is normally regarded as the turning point and great year for South African Hip Hop as it gave birth to Historical Hip Hop hits such as AKA’s All Eyes On Me, K.O’s Caracara and led to the betterment of South African Hip Hop camps such as Mabala Noise, Family Tree and Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2015. That year, Cassper Nyovest kickstarted the year of 2014 with the successful release of ‘Tsholofelo’ of which ‘I hope you bought it’ forms part of and led him to release a platinum edition of the album, which roped in the likes of Wizkid, DJ Drama and Anatii to name a few. In 2014, Cassper Nyovest accumulated top prizes and positions with ‘Tsholofelo’ such as No.1 position on MTV Base’s Hottest Mc in Africa, No.2 Pos on Mtv Base’s Hottest Mc in South Africa while ranking No.1 pos on Itunes for two consecutive months.

In an attempt to showcase his gratitudes and appreciation, Cassper Nyovest dwelled more on his gratitudes, “This is how I started my day today. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how good the Lord my God has been to me. It’s been 10 years since I penned this down. Thank you so much for allowing me to grace Lord. It all came together sooo well. A sinner like me? Yet you love me so much. You have blessed me soooo much. I give you all the Glory Lord!!! Thank you Jesus!!!  Who ever thought that I would make it ? JESUS DID!!!”.
